Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supervised Instructor Therapist to join our team. This role involves providing therapeutic support and instruction to children with diverse needs in a supportive and structured environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, especially in special education settings, and possess strong patient care skills. Duties
- Implement individualized ABA therapy plans tailored to each child's needs, following prescribed treatment goals.
- Supervise and assist children during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and engagement throughout activities.
- Collect and record data related to each child's progress, behavior, and response to interventions for ongoing assessment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, medical staff, and family members, to coordinate care strategies, if needed.
- Provide patient care that promotes emotional well-being and supports developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes using appropriate medical terminology.
- Ensure a safe environment by following all health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in therapeutic or educational settings, particularly in special education or related fields.
- Experience using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pediatric therapy and healthcare documentation.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and record data accurately for progress tracking.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, children, and families.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.
- Post-Secondary training in ABA is an asset
