Responsibilities and Duties:
· Assemble and weld metal building structural frames per job specifications.
· Assemble and weld sheet metal for enclosures fabrication as per drawings
· Responsible for preparation of materials, prior to actual welding operations, and the correct preparation of welding equipment.
· Responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble structural forms
· Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader and forklift
· Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
· Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
· Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
· Adhere to all company standards and policies.
· Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
· Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any problems which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
· Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of one (1) year experience in welding and fabrication in various functional areas of manufacturing including fabrication and production.
Fabrication experience is an asset
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
Ability to execute in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
Knowledge in production processes with electrical products
Strong communication and teamwork skills
