Senior Interior Designer – Residential
Strong CAD, Construction & Custom Millwork Expertise Required
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in residential design to join our creative team. This role is suited for a technically skilled designer with deep knowledge of custom homes and renovations, and extensive experience producing detailed CAD and millwork drawings.
The ideal candidate will collaborate from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality design that aligns with our brand. A strong portfolio, expert knowledge of design tools, a passion for creative excellence and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with principal designers on residential design projects from concept through construction and installation
- Develop detailed AutoCAD drawing packages, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
- Design and document custom millwork, cabinetry, built-ins, and interior architectural details
- Prepare schedules, pricing, and construction drawing sets
- Coordinate with homeowners, architects, builders, engineers, and trades
- Review shop drawings and millwork submittals for accuracy and design intent
- Conduct site visits
- Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines are met
- Maintain studio drafting and documentation standards
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to continuously elevate the quality of work produced.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field
- Minimum 5 + years of professional residential interior design experience
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Strong understanding of residential construction, renovations
- Experience producing custom millwork drawings and details
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with homeowners & trades
- Experience with high-end residential, custom homes, or luxury renovations is strongly required.
