Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Labourer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly, and maintaining high-quality standards. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will contribute to efficient manufacturing processes, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and press brake machines with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Set up and calibrate machinery using CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Utilize Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to program and troubleshoot automated machinery.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce parts according to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Perform welding, assembly, and packaging tasks as needed to complete finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards; operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, or related machining equipment.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLC systems, CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for manufacturing processes.
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including press brakes, welding tools, hand tools, and calipers.
- Experience with warehouse operations or material handling using forklifts is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection techniques to ensure product standards are met.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
Day shift, with possibility of overtime. 42 hours per week. Mon-Thurs 7-4PM and Friday 7-3:30PM.
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
