Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and previous line cook experience.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with plating dishes and garnishing to meet presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts. Clean up kitchen area at the end of each shift.
- Follow proper food safety procedures, including temperature checks and storage protocols
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods, ensuring smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock levels and shortages
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred
- Familiarity with serving, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food safety regulations
- Restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially within fast-paced environments
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting

Pay: $17.20-$23.74 per hour
