Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Dismantler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently disassembling and reassembling vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. The Automotive Dismantler plays a vital part in our auto recycling operations, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles systematically, removing parts such as engines, transmissions, and body panels with precision.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carefully detach components without damaging salvageable parts.
- Inspect parts for quality and functionality, preparing them for resale or recycling processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during dismantling activities.
- Assist in inventory management by labeling and documenting recovered parts accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily dismantling targets and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with automotive components preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, or saws is a plus.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while following safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in auto recycling or dismantling is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
