Durell Control Systems Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Service Coordinator with minimum of five years of experience in a similar office/role. We are located in London, Ontario and are the Delta Controls Partner for Southwestern Ontario. Durell Control Systems design, install and service Delta Control Systems; Provide system integration via Delta enteliWEB and Tridium N4 platform as well as Energy Management services.
The successful candidate for the Service Coordinator position is, most importantly, an outgoing, people-oriented person who enjoys interacting with the customer and utilizes frequent customer communication to help grow our business. Customer support and the organizational skills required to provide effective support is the Service Coordinator’s primary concern. The Service Coordinator will assist in the area of service sales and explore every opportunity to grow our business; opportunities include follow-up calls to gather feedback from customers regarding services provided as well as reminding the customer of outstanding quotations and/or additional services offered. Part sales, ordering of parts, inventory control and general office duties are included in the job description.
Job Summary:
- Field all service calls. Schedule and dispatch Service Technicians as required ensuring all queries are satisfied in an organized and timely manner as per customers’ expectations. Frequent follow-up and interaction with the customer is a key responsibility.
- Create, track and follow-up service work orders using SharePoint software.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to arrange schedules to meet our service and sales objectives.
- Oversee maintenance contract scheduling and submit reports to customers.
- Service work order and maintenance contract invoicing.
- Prepare quotations for part sales and arrange delivery.
- Prepare and send service and Delta software subscription renewal quotations to customers.
- Inventory control. (Assist Office Coordinator as required)

- Weekly service schedule.
- Multi tasking in a busy office environment prioritizing job functions as per criteria.
- Exercise initiative, and as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Service:
Completing work order documentation in the SharePoint program. Courtesy and follow-up calls to customers upon completion of our service. Making all necessary changes on the weekly schedule for scheduled/non-scheduled service work. Oversee the weekly on-call schedule and update any changes that occur. Ensure all service reports have been completed/updated by service technicians. Provide weekly report of completed and outstanding work orders to the Service Manager for review. Working with the Service Manager to promote new business; Creating and implementing new business ideas to assist with sales and service. Aid Service Manager in scheduling and promoting training for customers.
Administrative:
Shared answering of multiple phone lines, and directing calls to office staff accordingly. Entering all necessary data and making all necessary changes on the weekly schedule. Shipping & receiving when required and process RMA’s for our various vendor products. Researching business dynamics to enhance our business. Create, update, and revise current customer/contact listings as per requests. Printing drawings and specifications; Preparing engineering ‘Blue Book’ copies, valve tagging and printing labels. Various other administrative duties upon request. (Share with Office Coordinator)
