About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflows while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the production floor, including the specialized processing and handling of cooked crab, ensuring production schedules are met on time and operational targets are consistently achieved.
Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor production staff, including processors and line supervisors. Handle scheduling, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive, cohesive team culture.
Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure all production activities strictly comply with food safety regulations (such as HACCP and GMP) as well as internal sanitation, health, and safety standards, with strict attention to preventing cross-contamination between raw and cooked crab products.
Process Optimization: Monitor production data, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to increase efficiency and minimize waste and costs.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with procurement, inventory, logistics, and senior management to ensure a smooth flow of raw materials and seamless outbound shipping of finished goods.
Equipment & Resource Management: Oversee the condition of production equipment, coordinate routine maintenance, ensure safe machine operation, and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in production management, preferably within food manufacturing, seafood processing, or related wholesale industries.
Leadership Skills: Excellent team management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of food processing operations, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and crisis-management skills, capable of swiftly addressing and resolving unexpected challenges on the production floor.
Technical Skills: Proficient in standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word) and production management systems, with the ability to accurately prepare and analyze production reports.
