About the Role
Third Dimension Millwork (TDM) is hiring an experienced Cabinet Maker / Cabinetmaker for our Calgary shop. This is a hands-on woodworking / finish carpentry role building custom commercial cabinets, casework, and architectural millwork from shop drawings — cutting, machining, assembling, and finishing to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble custom commercial cabinets, casework, and millwork to spec
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
- Operate shop equipment: table saw, panel saw, edgebander, CNC router, and standard hand and power tools
- Measure, cut, and fit components with precision (laminate, veneer, melamine, solid wood, hardwood)
- Sand, finish, and prep product for delivery and installation
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Keep a safe, clean, organized work area
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cabinet making / millwork experience OR Journeyman Cabinetmaker certification (Red Seal an asset) — 10+ years preferred
- Experience with commercial cabinetry / commercial millwork (AWMAC standards an asset)
- Strong blueprint and shop drawing reading skills
- Skilled with woodworking machinery: panel saws, edgebanders, CNC equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Experience (Indeed screener-friendly)
- Cabinet making: 5 years (required)
- Commercial millwork: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification
- Journeyman Cabinetmaker / Red Seal (preferred, not required with 5+ years experience)
