The Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Millwork Shop Foreman to lead our production team. You will oversee daily operations, manage workflow, and ensure safety standards. The ideal candidate blends exceptional woodworking expertise with strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead Production : Manage daily shop workflow to meet strict project deadlines.
- Supervise Team: Guide, train, and motivate cabinetmakers and machine operators.
- Quality Control: Inspect ongoing work to maintain our luxury finish standards.
- Safety First: Enforce shop safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural drawings and cutting bills accurately.
- Inventory Control: Monitor material usage and coordinate shortages with procurement.
- Actively Participate: Actively participate in the custom fabrication and assembly of achitectural millwork, cabinetry, and speciality wood items.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in millwork; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of standard shop machinery (CNC router, edge banders, table saws).
- Leadership: Strong communication skills and a colloborative problem-solving mindset.
- Organizations: Ability to track multiple custom projects simultaneously.
