Reporting to the Principal Software Engineer, you will design, build, and support the internal mobile applications used every day by our residents, families, guests, club members, and team members. About the Opportunity
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android that support residents, families, guests, and team members
- Create intuitive, accessible mobile experiences that meet the needs of diverse users, including older adults and frontline staff
- Build resilient mobile applications that support offline functionality and secure data synchronization
- Integrate mobile applications with enterprise APIs, authentication services, and notification platforms
- Manage application releases through enterprise mobile deployment platforms and support ongoing application monitoring and performance
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, release management, and continuous improvement of mobile development standards
- Partner with clinical, operational, recreation, dining, and IT teams to design practical solutions that improve daily workflows
About You
In addition to placing high value on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, you bring:
- 8+ years of professional experience developing and supporting mobile applications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience building cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, Flutter, or similar technologies, and/or native development using Swift or Kotlin
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, local data storage, synchronization, performance optimization, and application lifecycle management
- Experience implementing secure authentication, identity management, and mobile security best practices
- Familiarity with automated testing, mobile CI/CD pipelines, and application deployment
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and user-centered mobile design
- Excellent ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams
Asset Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM), kiosk deployments, or enterprise-managed mobile environments
- Experience supporting healthcare, seniors' living, hospitality, or other 24/7 operational environments
- Understanding of push notification platforms, mobile analytics, and application monitoring
- Experience developing applications that manage personal or health-related information
- Experience integrating hospitality technologies, e-commerce platforms, or online payment solutions
