Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Soccer Referees to officiate youth soccer matches. This role requires strong knowledge of the rules of soccer, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain fair play on the field. As a Soccer Referee, you will ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for players of all ages while enforcing game rules and promoting sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Officiate soccer matches in accordance with established rules and regulations
- Make quick, accurate decisions regarding fouls, goals, and game flow
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to manage game conduct
- Ensure player safety by monitoring for dangerous play or unsportsmanlike behavior
- Keep track of game time and manage substitutions as needed
- Complete match reports or incident reports when necessary
- Uphold professionalism and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times
Requirements
- Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations; previous officiating experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make decisive judgments under pressure
- Ability to remain impartial and handle challenging situations calmly
- Physical fitness to keep up with the pace of the game and stand for extended periods
- Must be at least 16 years old or older
- Certification from a recognized referee training program
- A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to fair play are essential qualities for success in this role
- Must have a valid SIN and eligible to work in Canada.
Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per hour
