Overview
Looking to hire 2 cooks, 1 mixer, 2 dumpers and 3-4 cutters for the CNE from the 18th of August to the 6th of September.

Cooks
Cooks This position will be 3-4 days a week, 12 hours a day. You must be able to follow a recipe, accurately measure ingredients, keep your area clean, and keep on task in a timely manner. The ability to multitask and keep focused is a must.
Most of your day will involve cooking, but you are required to clean your dishes and station before the end of the shift. You must be comfortable lifting approximately 40 lbs, assisted by the Mixer.
Mixer
Mixer This position is Monday - Friday, 12 hours a day. You must be able to follow a recipe and accurately measure ingredients. You must be comfortable lifting approximately 40 lbs, assisted by the Cook.
Hand eye coordination is a must as you will be learning a hand mixing technique (creaming) with paddles. You will be responsible for not only mixing the fudge on the table, but ensuring it is evenly placed into the troughs and applying any toppings or decoration as indicated by the recipe. This will be your primary duty, however you will also be responsible for cleaning the tables after cooking is complete and helping the Cook clean the floors.
Dumpers
Dumpers The dumper works 3-4 days a week from 6am to about 2pm. The start time is non-negotiable.
Your duties will comprise of emptying the troughs of fudge from the day before, organizing the fudge by date and preparing the troughs for the days cooking.
If your work load is light, you may be asked to help out with other minor kitchen tasks, for example, preparing apples to be candied. You will also be responsible for cleaning your station before the shift ends.
Cutters
Cutters shifts are primarily full time day shift, with some evening shifts available if we require them. This job will require you to be attentive to the inventory at all times. Your job is primarily to slice fudge from the logs as required to keep the displays in our booths full.
Consistency is key and a keen eye for detail is required. Slices must be uniform and similar weight to each other for sale. Besides cutting slices for sale, you will often be asked to chop up sample pieces for our sales team to use from the fudge that we can’t put on display. You will also be required to keep your station tidy and clean up before the end of your shift.
Requirements
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is highly preferred.
Strong skills in serving, food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings. Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is advantageous.
