We have an opening for a full time, permanent Production Support based out of Alliston, in our HJV Engineering Department. Under the supervision of the HJVE Production Manager, and working in conjunction with the production coordinator, the position is responsible for providing logistical support in the production of specialized vegetable equipment lines for the HJV Engineering business. This role will ensure parts and material are received and ready for assembly in line with production timelines and requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Understands HJV’s vision and how the Production Support role can assist in achieving it.
Receive and check parts shipments from vendors; complete required quantity checks in excel.
Deliver job skids/material and pick up completed orders from various vendors.
Deburr stainless steel parts as required before product goes to assemblers.
Shop cut stainless steel parts with a bandsaw.
Pick parts as required and organize weld packages for job skids.
Maintain inventory levels of stock parts, pipe, and sheets based on feedback from the production coordinator.
Identify stainless steel defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are found in conjunction with the production coordinator.
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Always displays high quality of workmanship and professional image.
Ensures adherence to all HJV and HJVE policies and procedures.
Ensures adherence to Health & Safety policies and applicable legislation including working in a safe manner at all times.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience in manufacturing preferred.
This is a physically demanding role requiring frequent, repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching throughout the shift (fast paced environment).
Ability to work independently, to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions.
Manage shifting deadlines and balance competing priorities.
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, methodical approach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
Valid driver's license and clean abstract; Class G license required for maintaining daily logs and operating a trailer.
Forklift certification an asset; crane experience with a telehandler an asset.
Basic Excel working knowledge and computer skills through Microsoft Office.
Ability to operate a grinder, bandsaw, banding machine, and accurately read a tape measure.
Ability to work overtime as required.
