Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Abatement Worker to join our team in safely removing hazardous materials and restoring affected environments. This role involves working in construction and restoration settings, utilizing various tools and techniques to ensure safe and effective abatement processes. Responsibilities
- Perform removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead paint, mold, or other contaminants using appropriate safety procedures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to carry out abatement tasks efficiently.
- Assist with demolition, cleaning, and restoration activities as needed during project phases.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers and ensuring proper ventilation during abatement procedures.
- Clean work areas thoroughly after completion of tasks to ensure environmental safety standards are met.
- Document work performed and report any safety concerns or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Complete safety documentation and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning, construction, or restoration projects is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
