Akawe Energy has an opening for a motivated certified Journeyman/woman and/or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team based in Thunder Bay.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- 309A Red Seal Journeyman Certification
- Ontario College of Trades, Good Standing Member
- minimum 1 year Red Seal or 3rd/4th year Apprentice experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial
- Experience with Streetlight Systems, Fire Alarms, Pump Stations, PLC's, MCC's
- Understanding of project drawings and specifications
- Working at Heights, EWP/Man-lift, First-Aid, WHMIS
- Lock-out/Tag-out
- Able to pass back-ground check for projects where required
- Use of own hand tools, all others provided
- Strong communication and time management
- Travel to various work locations around the Northwest Region and Remote Locations
- Sound knowledge of electrical code, ESA inspection process, and ability to work under minimal supervision
