Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in clinical care, sterilization, and office organization in an outpatient clinic setting. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, as well as the ability to assist with administration and various patient care tasks.
Duties
- Assist dentists in providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information, chart notes, etc.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments for reuse and organizing/restocking non-reusable materials.
- Take and process dental radiographs as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records and documentation accurately, utilizing electronic health record systems as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on diet, oral hygiene, treatment plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.

- Proficient understanding of dental terminology, techniques, and procedures to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Strong background in medical environments, demonstrating familiarity with clinical protocols and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure alongside attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with computers including fast typing and dental charting
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the healthcare field.

Pay: $27.00-$37.00 per hour
