Fresca Pizza & Pasta is a local favourite known for serving high-quality, authentic food to our community. We pride ourselves on a fast-paced, friendly environment where quality and customer service come first. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pizza & Prep Cook to join our family-operated team.
The Role
As a member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and execution of our full menu. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with dough, managing a high-volume oven, and preparing fresh pasta dishes and salads with speed and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Pizza Station: Prepare dough, stretch by hand, apply toppings, and manage the oven to ensure perfect consistency.
- Pasta & Salads: Cook pasta to order, prepare signature sauces, and assemble fresh saladsaccording to our recipes.
- Prep Work: Efficiently chop vegetables, prepare meats, and maintain stock levels for all stations.
- Quality Control: Ensure every plate and box that leaves the kitchen meets our high standards for taste and presentation.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times.
- Communication: Manage phone and walk-in orders accurately while coordinating with the rest of the team.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pizza Cook or in a similar high-volume kitchen role.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required to facilitate smooth communication with our team and customers.
- Skills: Strong dough-handling skills and comfort working with commercial pizza ovens.
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Attitude: A positive "can-do" attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
