Position: Scaffolder (fly-in/fly-out)
Salary Range: $54/hr plus OT ($63.00/hr)
About the Client and Role
We are on the hunt for an experienced Scaffolder for a Contract position at a mine site in the far north. This is a fly-in, fly-out facility, with a normal 2 week on, 2 week off rotation. This role is a Contract position and we require an experienced Scaffolder for the Projects team who are undertaking a number of projects this fall and winter. For now, we seek a Scaffolder who is available from June 10th to June 17th. Ideally, we are looking for someone not currently working as there is no time for notice. Work hours are 12 per day. There is a good chance we will have another rotation from July 2nd for 2 weeks. We pay for your travel to the site, food and accommodations are provided and tools and ppe are provided. Pay is $54/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day (works out to $63/hr for a 12 hour day). Medical questionnaire, Criminal Record Check (previous serious crimes are unlikely to be approved for site deployment), references, Journeyman License required.

This role provides technical support and coaching to assist the department and the company to strive to achieve their goals of "ZERO HARM"
Main Accountabilities:
- Utilize site drawings and written instructions to select materials required to set ground levels for scaffolds
- Install steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds
- Lift and position sections of scaffolding and bolts pipes together to build scaffolding as per site requirements
- Place planks over horizontal bars to create platforms
- Monitor levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability
- Dismantle scaffolding at the completion of a job
Work with other Maintainers and perform other related duties as assigned

Main Qualifications:
- Must have JP or Apprentice Scaffolder ticket
- Previous industrial construction experience
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing, as required by client required.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using both verbal and written.
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.
- Ability to pay attention to details of a project or task.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.
- Arctic experience and Mining experience will be considered a major asset.
