POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Advisor is a project delivery leader responsible for managing pre and post execution activities across full construction scopes within the electrical distribution space in both Line and Civil sectors.
This role represents a transition from crew supervision to integrated project planning, project closure and assistance, requiring a strong grasp of construction standards and methods. CA’s report to the Project Manager , work closely with construction managers, supervisors and estimators. Are accountable for daily performance in accuracy, quality, and cohesiveness of tasks. This role Is heavily dependant on ability to interpret electrical designs, determine constructability and manage design changes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated Field Assistance
- Independently perform constructability reviews on site to support estimating and a project planning. Identify design variance’s or required changes to suit construction. Coordinate with internal and external customer base to manage the changes.
- Post construction inspections and identify deficiencies and coordinate remediation
Workforce & Resource Coordination
- Support labour and Outage planning as required in collaboration with site leadership
- prepare and collect information to to produce productivity metrics.
Safety & Quality Management
- Participate in Forbes Bros safety management system and perform safety activities with execution crews as required.
- Support resolution of incidents, near misses, and field hazards.
- Manage quality standards through inspection readiness, ITP execution, and documentation handoff in coordination site supervision.
Progress Integration
- Ensure compliance with ITPs, punch list resolution, and turnover documentation.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams on redlines, materials verification, and installation reviews.
- Coach field leaders on quality standards, audit readiness, and documentation practices.
Team Leadership & Communication
- Support all execution teams day-to-day construction and or client standard questions.
- Provide quality and or standard adherence performance feedback, ensure field teams are aligned,
- Maintain open communication with PMs, engineers,and site leadership
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 15 to 20 years of experience in Overhead Hydro Line construction or similar infrastructure construction, with proven leadership over multi-discipline scopes.
- Strong understanding of construction execution, and overhead line standards
- Proficient in MIcrosift suite applications
- Valid driver’s license and availability to work at remote or active project sites.
Pay: From $36.00 per hour
