Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation, uphold food safety standards, and assist with various kitchen duties to ensure smooth daily operations. Prior restaurant or food service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas and dining spaces
- Help with restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen stations are clean and safe
- Follow proper food safety procedures and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout shifts
- Assist with general cleaning duties to uphold sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Support team members during busy hours to ensure timely service delivery
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cooking, restaurant work, or food service is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed
- Basic understanding of meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads (up to 50 pounds)
