Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy equipment and a strong mechanical knowledge base. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on-site, contributing to the successful completion of civil construction projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders for various construction tasks.
- Perform digging and building operations as required by project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely maneuver equipment in tight spaces and around obstacles while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment handling and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Ability to dig, build, and perform various tasks related to construction projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Physical stamina to operate machinery for extended periods and perform manual labor as needed.
- Valid driver's license may be required based on job site location.
