We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of industrial vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, loaders, and forklifts

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and implement effective solutions

Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, and monitor parts inventory

Work collaboratively with operations and production teams to minimize downtime

Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO)
Qualifications & Requirements:

Completion of secondary school required

Completion of a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic apprenticeship or minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery

Experience working with industrial trucks, forklifts, and other mobile equipment

Physically capable of handling heavy equipment in a workshop and field environment

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:

Welding and fabrication skills (asset)

Forklift and heavy equipment certification

Experience in waste management or industrial operations
Work Conditions:

Physically demanding role, involving lifting, bending, and standing

Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and heavy machinery
