Due to continued growth, Tabworks is expanding their team and is currently hiring two new Bookkeepers to join their collaborative and client-focused firm.

About the Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial records for a diverse client base. You’ll work closely with your team to manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Record expenses, deposits, and income accurately
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Review Profit & Loss reports to identify discrepancies, trends, or missing entries
- Prepare and support payroll administration, including T4s, ROEs, and government remittances (HST, WSIB, payroll deductions)
- Assist with fiscal year-end preparation and government audits
- Maintain accurate work instructions and documentation within Karbon
- Track time worked using QB Time
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent communication and workflow
- Support training and onboarding of new or existing team members as processes evolve
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all legal, ethical, and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar accounting support role an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to follow written work instructions and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-focused mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Organized, dependable, and able to work well within a team
Technical Skills & Tools
Experience with the following is considered an asset:
- QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet)
- Hubdoc
- Karbon Practice Management Software
