Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to grow within the food industry.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes before they are served to customers
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, including serving and assisting with food service as needed
- Ensure all food preparation areas are stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients for smooth operation
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under time constraints while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent understanding of the food industry, including familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food presentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated learners
