Are you a skilled Maintenance Worker seeking a casual opportunity in the serene town of Kaslo, BC? We're hiring a Maintenance Worker V to join our team at the Victorian Community Health Centre.
Your role:
As a Maintenance Worker V, you will play an important role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll perform skilled trades work approaching the journeyman level in areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance, while also providing guidance and support to Maintenance Workers and other designated staff. Your responsibilities will include constructing and repairing walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture, and cabinetry, as well as completing plastering, painting, and finishing work for renovations and ongoing maintenance. You’ll also perform electrical and mechanical repairs on facility and plant equipment, helping to ensure systems and operations continue to run smoothly and efficiently.
Position details:
Our casual positions offer flexibility with day shift work hours ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week. As a casual employee, you'll have the chance to apply for permanent part-time or full-time positions internally, providing pathways for career advancement within Interior Health. Possible shift times are Monday to Friday day shifts from 07:00 to 15:00.
