Who we are:
Quidi Vidi Brewing Company, located in the historic fishing village of Quidi Vidi, is the largest craft brewery in Newfoundland & Labrador. As one of the first craft breweries in NL, we’ve helped to grow the craft beer scene in the province – and we have no plans of stopping! We are rapidly growing and transforming our organization; we’re increasing our production capacity and releasing new beer in new formats.
At QVBC we have a strong sense of community and draw inspiration from our surroundings. We’re most known for our Iceberg beer, a refreshing lager, made from the water harvested from the icebergs that dot our coast.
We are currently recruiting for Retail Sales Associates who enjoy working with the public and are interested in building a career in retail.
Who you are:
You are a dynamic, self-motivated, and organized individual who enjoys working in a team environment. Above all, you are passionate about craft beer or have desire to learn about craft beer. You are goal-oriented and remain on task with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Providing product recommendations and answering customer questions
- Up-selling through product support programs and product accessories
- Handling phone calls and emails for the business
- Stocking coolers and merchandise
- Learning about our products and beer
- Working with your team to establish, meet and exceed goals
- Counting and updating inventory
- Using POS system and filling end of night paperwork
- Merchandising displays and organizing coolers
- Filling orders for pick up and delivery
- Adhering to schedules
- Complying with safety regulations
- Keeping the building clean and tidy
- Facilitating bottle returns
- Complying with store policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong interest and base knowledge in craft beer
- Familiarity with other craft beer available in the province
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Drive
- Strong organizational & problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Takes initiative
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate our core values
- Must be able to lift up to 90lbs
