Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food service, and delivering excellent customer experiences. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timing
- Assist in food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the serving staff by preparing orders promptly and accurately
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Adhere to health department guidelines and restaurant policies at all times
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and safety protocols precisely
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated learners
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
