Position Overview
This role is responsible for aiding in the production of our ciders by performing keg filling and management, inter-company transfers, and cleaning of facilities, tanks, and equipment, as well as basic maintenance. We are looking for a hands-on person who enjoys solving problems, enjoys the pressure of deadlines, follows SOPs, and is motivated to improve and maintain high standards of operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with production and packaging of products
- Keg management, cleaning, filling, and arrange deliveries
- Perform cellar tasks such as cleaning floors, drains, tank exteriors, totes, and fittings
- Assist in movement of goods and transportation of products. This includes (but not limited to) moving cider, totes, pallets, equipment and supplies, and finished products
- Keep a tidy workplace, and follow all company SOPs to ensure the workplace can run smoothly and effectively.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance in accordance with food safety standards
- Use Google Workspace tools and inventory management software for communication, tracking and reporting
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Work positively and constantly to improve process and quality of the workplace
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Must have the ability to lift more than 50 lbs above your head, reach, bend, climb up ladders, stand for long periods of time, and work around loud noises
- Comfortable operating or learning to operate heavy equipment and industrial machinery
- Valid driver’s license (required for deliveries and inter-company movement)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Workspace
- Experience in cider, brewing, wine, distilling, food production, or similar manufacturing environments is an asset
- Adept troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Positive, attentive, punctual, respectful, and motivated work ethic
- Work independently and in a team
- Demonstrate safe work practices
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
