We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.
The analyst will be included in the team's on-call rotation.
About the role:
As a Network Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the organization's enterprise network infrastructure across both office and data center environments. Working as part of a small, collaborative network team, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance while supporting routing, switching, and network security initiatives. This position is based in Toronto and requires regular access to both the office and data center locations.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a team-first mindset. Experience with firewall administration is highly valued, while exposure to cloud networking in AWS or Azure is considered an asset. The team is willing to train motivated individuals who have solid networking fundamentals and are eager to expand their technical expertise.
About the day-to-day:
- Network device implementation and configuration and monitor network devices using monitoring tools such as Datadog.
- Palo Alto firewall / Panorama configuration template and device group is a plus.
- Maintain all network hardware and equipment, including firewalls, routers, switches, access points and UPS/PDUs.
- Level 1 & 2 network troubleshooting (Firewall, Router, Switch and Wi-Fi) and closely working with Level 3.
- Provide training and support to service desk support staff on network issues.
- Maintain remote VPN and update configuration based on the requirement.
- Configure and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN.
- Adheres to IT company policy and standards in terms of configuring firewall configurations and rules, as well as network devices such as routers, switches and Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow is a plus.
- Support and assist with cloud network connectivity (Azure/AWS) as it relates to hybrid on-prem to cloud architectures, including VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect and cloud-based firewall integration, is a plus.
About the qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience working with Cisco devices (Router and Switch) or similar products.
- Preferred experience with Palo Alto and Panorama (or Palo Alto certification PCNSE) and/or Next-Generation Firewall.
- Should have CCNA Routing and Switching certification or similar level of experience.
- Preferred to have CCNP Routing and Switching certification or similar level of experience.
- Preferred experience with cloud networking on Azure and/or AWS — e.g. hub-spoke/VPC architecture, VPN Gateway/Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, and integrating on-prem firewalls with cloud environments.
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and at least three years of experience in a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco devices and implementing dynamic routing configuration, 802.1x and Virtual Routing Forwarding.
- Switching experience in configuration and troubleshooting (ARP inspection, DHCP snooping, Spanning Tree, HSRP, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
- Problem-solving and strong analytical abilities. Self-motivated and able to solve problems.
- Ability to successfully prioritize and execute tasks in a pressured environment.

About the work environment:

Compensation:
The expected salary for this role is approximately $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
