About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Carding & Configuration associate to join our team. In this role, you will work directly alongside our Lead to support the integrity of our ERP system and bridge the gap between engineering designs and the shop floor.
This is a junior position with excellent training and growth potential. In this collaborative role, you will play a crucial supporting part—helping the Lead manage the workflow, inputting key data, and ensuring our digital records are completely accurate. You will learn our product options and configurations from the ground up, developing a strong understanding of how different components pair together in the system & on the products. Over time, we will teach you how to "card" units, build work orders, and handle various other processes.
Note: This role does not involve purchasing, inventory tracking, or scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Configuration & Digital Kitting: Build a solid understanding of our product lines by configuring and "kitting" assembly components directly within the ERP. You will learn how our products fit together and translate that logic into structured digital part relationships.
- Technical System Logic: Learn the technical rules of our builds (such as pairing the correct components with specific product options) to ensure our digital data matches actual production requirements.
- ERP Data Quality Support: Work closely with the Lead to review incoming engineering data and ensure ERP structure and accuracy before jobs are sent to the floor.
- Work Order Interpretation: Read, interpret, and verify existing work orders to ensure the shop floor has clear, accurate instructions that match the engineering BOMs.
- Returns & Requisition Entry: Enter product returns and parts requisitions into the ERP system to ensure all unit history and information is completely consolidated in one place.
- Data Cleanup: Identify and fill in the small details engineers might leave out of a design (like hardware, lubricants, or packaging) so the build package is complete.
- Cross-Training & Professional Growth:
- Learn to "Card" Units: Receive hands-on training to create and manage the master digital profiles ("cards") for new units in our ERP system on your own.
- Work Order Creation: Train to build work orders and routings from scratch.
- Parts Inventory Backup: Cross-train on our parts inventory workflows so you can step in and provide seamless backup support for that role when needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Eagerness to Learn: You are excited to learn a technical product and understand the logic behind how different parts and options interact.
- High Attention to Detail: You naturally spot inconsistencies, missing details, or typos in technical data.
- ERP Experience: Basic exposure to entering data or navigating an ERP system (like Visual,Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Mechanical/Technical Interest: You can read and interpret basic bills of materials (BOMs) or technical drawings, and you enjoy working with mechanical components.
- Strong Collaboration: You are comfortable working closely with a Lead, taking direction, and communicating clearly with other departments.
