We are in need of a Parts Advisor, a methodical and organized engineer-type brain, someone who is already vested in looking up various compressor parts from manuals, understands what engineered exploded view drawings are, and likes to search for the hard to source parts!
Responsibilities
- Receive the recommendations from Service Technicians, and source various parts from compressor manuals, to quote for the customer
- Actively search through manuals of all kinds, to find the necessary parts that are required for the customer (can be very old manuals, can be new ones)
- Maintain and update part numbers in our CRM system
- Communicate and follow up with our vendors and suppliers by phone and email
- Review supplier pricing and update the system
- Collaborate with all team members as necessary
- Create purchase orders and send to vendors
Skills
- Clean and organized work desk as per our safe work and company policies
- Read and understand engineered drawings, blown up drawings of various related parts (can be from a Auto parts desk, or Heavy Equipment desk)
- Understand math and dimensions to ensure correct parts are ordered
- Attention to details is extremely important
- Team player, as we all help each other out as necessary
- Backup for the Shipping/Receiving person, so some history in that position
We are particular in finding the best of the best to join our team, and we know that person is out there somewhere! Local to the Milton, ON area is a must, as you will need to commute to the office M-F.
