About Us
We are a high-volume, luxury automotive dealership looking to add a skilled and motivated Parts Technician to our Fixed Operations team. We run a fast-paced, high-efficiency service and parts department, and we rely on our parts team to keep our technicians turning wrenches and our customers happy.
If you are organized, mechanically knowledgeable, and thrive in a busy dealership environment, we want you on our team. (Note: As this is a confidential search, the specific dealership name will be disclosed to candidates selected for an interview).
The Role
The Parts Technician is the crucial link between our parts inventory, our service technicians, and our retail/wholesale customers. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, and distributing automotive parts and accessories. You will split your time between supplying our busy service shop (back counter) and assisting retail or wholesale customers (front counter), ensuring accurate billing and inventory control every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately identify, source, and bill out parts and accessories for dealership Service Technicians, retail walk-ins, and wholesale accounts.
- Assist with daily inventory control, including restocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and organizing bins to ensure a highly efficient parts department.
- Receive daily stock orders, verify packing slips against physical deliveries, and safely dispatch outbound wholesale deliveries.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable advice to customers via phone, email, and in person. Provide accurate quotes for parts and accessories.
- Process core returns, warranty parts retention, and manufacturer returns strictly following dealership and factory guidelines.
- Ensure all parts invoices, purchase orders, and special orders are accurately processed in the Dealership Management System (PBS).
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as an automotive Parts Technician or Parts Advisor is highly preferred.
- A Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket (or registered apprentice status) is a significant asset.
- A solid understanding of automotive components, systems, and repair processes.
- Familiarity with automotive electronic parts catalogs (EPC) and Dealership Management Systems (PBS)
- High accuracy in reading part numbers, managing inventory, and processing invoices.
- A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
What We Offer
- A rewarding pay structure based on department performance.
- Extended health, dental, and vision care packages.
- Ongoing manufacturer training and opportunities for advancement within our growing dealership.
- A supportive management team and a clean, modern, and well-organized parts department.
