About Us:
Huyck provides manufacturing companies with a wide range of Industrial Supplies and specializes in coatings. We are looking to fill two full-time positions in our Powder Coating Department. The Powder Coating Department is a manually operated production line that requires team members to be physically fit and to enjoy being busy.
Role/Qualifications:
You will:
Assist in any of the Powder Coating Stations as required to support production throughout the line. You could be working in our Prep, Hanging or Packaging stations:
- Hanging (*MAIN DUTY*) – Hanging material onto overhead bars, pushing /pulling bars in and out of oven(s) and coating booth(s)
- Prep – Pulling material to fill orders, inspecting material for flaws, preparing material for coating (ex. cutting, drilling holes, sanding), racking material in preparation for dipping
- Packaging – Pushing/pulling loadbars in and out of oven, remove material from overhead bars, inspect paint quality, package per customer specifications
- Be able to push and pull heavy metal profiles on manual transfer load bar system
- Be physically fit, able to be active on the job and lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Be able to complete work orders accurately, capable of speaking, reading and writing English
- Have excellent attention to detail - frequent quality checks are a must
- Have excellent attendance – this position is 40 hours per week. Your Option at either:
- Monday through Thursday from 7:00am - 4:30pm and Fridays from 7:00am to 11:00am *OR CHOOSE*:
- Monday through Thursday from 9:30am - 8:00pm (Fridays Off!)
- Forklift experience/certification an asset
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in the Lower Mainland
