Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight and equipment with care. As a Dump Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment is desirable.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for maintaining accurate delivery records.
