Civil Quality Inspector

You'll play a key role in ensuring product compliance and maintaining the highest standards of quality in our operations. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as installation teams, project management, and quality assurance), perform inspections, and monitor adherence to work method statements (WMS) and tool calibration, among other responsibilities.
You'll specifically take care of generating schedules for quality inspections and maintaining site reports, but also manage punch lists/snag lists and support change management on-site.
We'll look to you for:

Performing inspections and ensuring product compliance (including checks after rework) as per the Quality Control Plan/Inspection Test Plan

Managing special process controls and governance
-
Recording inspection results in industrial digital tools (e.g., my Field)

Generating schedules for quality inspections for the upcoming 4 weeks
-
Conducting scheduled and unscheduled checks during installation, including reviewing adherence to WMS, calibration of tools, and training/competency levels

Producing weekly and daily site reports

Managing and closing out punch lists/snag lists

Following up with installation teams on schedule updates and site issues

Supporting change management from the site

Overseeing rework follow-up

Frequent travels required, role is requiring presence on both Whitby site and Richmond Hill corridor on a weekly basis

High school diploma

Experience or understanding of quality control processes in an industrial or rail environment

Knowledge of inspection tools and digital platforms (e.g., my Field or similar)

Familiarity with work method statements (WMS) and tool calibration processes

A certification in quality management or a related domain
-
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
A wide practical knowledge of site quality control practices and their relationship to quality systems such as those defined in ISO:9001.

At least 3-5 years related experience with civil work quality control experience is required

Knowledge and experience in punch list management, Non Conformity Report management
-
Knowledge and experience in subcontractor management
-
Preferred knowledge of Railway Industry Standards.

Able to build effective working relationships.

Conversant with Microsoft Office. Knowledge on SAP is preferable

Knowledge to generate reports - reports to share status of the activity, reports to client

Data management - maintaining site related data and KPIs
