EAB Tool Company (www.exchangeablade.com) has a great opportunity for an experienced Accounting (AR/AP) & Inventory Coordinator to join our Delta (Annacis Island) head office team.
Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payment processing, inventory administration, reporting, and other accounting and operational support duties as required.
EAB delivers a comprehensive range of performance power tool accessories for every job, from the precision requirements of discerning professionals to home DIYers. Our pioneering exchange and recycling program enables power tool users not only to save money with our ‘buy it, exchange it, and save’ program, but also to reduce their effects on the environment. The ideal candidate will speak both French and English as this role will interact with our Quebec based clients, distributors, and employees. However, this is not required but a definite asset!
Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (on-site)
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 per annum + a competitive benefits package
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and vendor payments.
- Prepare customer invoices and maintain Accounts Receivable records.
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collections.
- Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
- Process payment applications and maintain payment records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
- Support the Controller with reporting, reconciliations, and administrative duties.
Inventory Administration & Reporting
- Maintain inventory records and supporting spreadsheets.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations between physical counts and system records.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Prepare inventory reports and analysis for management.
- Support inventory transfers, adjustments, and data maintenance.
- Assist with cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and identify trends or issues requiring follow-up.
- Work closely with Operations and Accounting to ensure inventory information remains accurate and current.
- Generate and maintain inventory-related reports using Excel and other reporting tools.
General Administration
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist with document management and record retention.
- Support various accounting, inventory, and operational projects as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
- 2-3 years accounting experience.
- Experience with inventory administration, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliation, or ERP systems is considered a strong asset.
- Proven commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Intermediate level MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Superior time management and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize.
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
- Fluency in French would be an asset but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, professional team player.
- Desire to grow both personally and professionally.
- Effectively work individually, in a team environment, with customers and internal staff.
