Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd. is a civil general contracting company operating throughout British Columbia, primarily in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in public municipal infrastructure projects, delivering both civil and mechanical solutions with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
Skills / Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators of various sizes on utility installation projects
- Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators, backhoe, log loaders, dozers, skidders
- Clean and valid drivers license and be able to get to and from the job sites
- Experience with storm, sanitary, water, communications, and hydro installations
- Experience with logging
- Maintain equipment (Pre-trip inspections, grease, and clean cab daily)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working on active roadways
- Experience working around live utilities
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Safety conscious
- Ground disturbance knowledge
- Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions
- Advise operations of any issues with equipment
- Respect equipment and attachments
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Must be able to work out of town as need (Whistler, Squamish, areas of the island, Okanagan)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
