Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Host/Hostess to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests during breakfast service, ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food service or guest relations. Previous experience in restaurant settings, hotel hospitality, or food handling is preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage guest waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Take and relay guest orders accurately, ensuring timely service
- Assist with food preparation and table setting as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and payments
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide receipts to guests
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during meal service and food handling
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their experience
- Support overall restaurant operations during breakfast hours, including cleaning duties and restocking supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, meal preparation, and basic cooking skills is a plus
- Excellent cleaning and sanitation practices to maintain a hygienic dining area
- Hospitality experience in hotels or as a barista is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
