Job Summary
Better General Appliance Services is hiring a Kitchen Stewarding Associate to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas. This role is responsible for cleaning dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while assisting with general stewarding and utility tasks to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, dishwashing areas, storage rooms, and food preparation areas
- Remove trash and recycling while following sanitation procedures
- Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies for food service operations
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen support tasks when needed
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Report equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors
- Support kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Perform additional stewarding and cleaning duties assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in stewarding, dishwashing, or food service is an asset but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads

- Knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards
