Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Delivery Driver Helper to assist our delivery team in efficiently transporting goods to various locations. This role involves supporting the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering products while ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and experience working in warehouse or commercial driving environments. Duties
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading deliveries using moving equipment such as dollies when necessary
- Help organize and secure cargo for safe transportation
- Navigate routes efficiently and communicate effectively with the driver regarding delivery schedules and customer needs
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
- Perform heavy lifting of packages and supplies, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury
- Support warehouse operations by moving inventory within storage areas as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area and delivery vehicle
- Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving activities
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with drivers and customers
- Experience in customer service or working directly with clients preferred
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is advantageous but not mandatory; must be willing to learn driving support tasks
- Physical stamina to handle moving heavy items repeatedly throughout shifts
- Reliable transportation to reach various delivery locations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow safety guidelines
Pay: $160.00-$180.00 per day
