Better Way Home Care is growing — and we're not interested in just filling shifts. We're building a team of reliable, dedicated, and adaptable Health Care Aides who take ownership of their work and genuinely care about doing it well.
We provide private home care across Red Deer and Central Alberta, and our clients depend on us to be there when they need us — days, evenings, nights, and weekends. That means we need people who are available, flexible, and ready to answer the call, sometimes on short notice to help fill a shift.

What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
Every shift is an opportunity to make a real impact. You'll be providing hands-on care in clients' homes, including:
- Personal care and mobility assistance
- Medication reminders and simple wound care
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Companionship and emotional support
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition
Who We're Looking For
This role isn't for everyone, and we're upfront about that. We need someone who brings:
- Flexibility first. Open availability across days, evenings, nights, and weekends is essential. Willingness to pick up shifts on short notice is a must.
- A learner's mindset. You ask questions, seek feedback, and want to get better at what you do. We'll invest in your development if you bring the initiative.
- Accountability. When you commit to a shift, you show up. When something goes wrong, you own it. When a client needs something, you follow through.
- Professionalism. You represent yourself and our company with care and integrity in every home you enter.
What You'll Need
- Recognized HCA certificate and active CLHA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 90 days)
- Valid Alberta driver's license, reliable vehicle, and commercial insurance
- Ability to transport clients is a strong asset
