Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE (Early Childhood Education) Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for infants/toddlers. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood development and eager to contribute to the growth and well-being of children. The ECE Assistant will work closely with lead teachers to implement educational programs, assist with daily routines, and ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom setting.
Duties
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Assist with classroom management and supervision of children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Engage children in learning experiences that incorporate basic math skills, language development, and social interaction
- Provide individualized attention to children, including working with those with disabilities or special needs
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's progress and well-being
- Assist in documenting children's developmental milestones and daily activities for assessment purposes
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Experience in teaching or supporting early childhood education programs is advantageous
- Familiarity with working with infants/toddlers
- Strong communication skills essential for collaborating with team members and engaging effectively with children and families
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including developmental milestones and age-specific activities
