Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic glazing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in project planning and bidding processes, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates. This position offers an opportunity to lead complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of construction initiatives. The Senior Estimator will utilize advanced estimating tools and industry knowledge to develop precise project budgets, support negotiation efforts, and drive project profitability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed glazing construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other bid documents.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate cost projections.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and refine estimates.
- Lead negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Review and interpret project drawings and specifications to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that align with client requirements and company standards.
- Assist in project management activities by providing cost control insights throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new estimating tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, Excel and other construction estimating software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships.
- Excellent project management capabilities to coordinate multiple bids and deadlines effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of construction estimating principles, including pricing strategies and risk assessment.
- Experience in construction industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail to ensure precise estimates that support profitable project execution.
Pay: $64,264.84-$85,000.00 per year
