Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Lead - Closing Shift to oversee daily operations during the evening hours. This leadership role is vital in ensuring smooth restaurant functions, maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service, and supervising team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong restaurant management skills, food industry knowledge, and excellent team management abilities. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, POS systems, and supervising staff is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the closing shift team to ensure efficient service and adherence to operational standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety standards
- Manage POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Lead team members in executing restaurant procedures, including opening/closing duties, cleaning, and restocking
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and promote a collaborative work environment
- Enforce health and safety policies, including food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Handle any issues that arise during the shift promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, including supervising teams and managing shifts
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling skills required
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Prior experience in hospitality roles such as hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently during the closing shift with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing daily operations
- Flexibility to work during evening hours, including weekends if necessary
This role is ideal for candidates passionate about the food industry who are looking to advance their leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality setting.
Evening shifts will be Monday to Thursday 3-10pm, and friday 3-12pm. additional hours are available based on your availability, overtime provided after 44 hours completed during the week. base pay will start at 19$ but after 6 months of sufficient closing pay will be bumped up to 20$/hour with opportunity to grow into a store manager role paying 45,000 within one year, along with a share of profits.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
