Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, maintenance, and construction, with the ability to read schematics and blueprints. This role involves performing service, repair, and installation tasks for residential and commercial clients, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for installation and maintenance work
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math and technical knowledge to determine solutions
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, schematics interpretation, and system upgrades
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and industry standards
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman plumber certification or equivalent experience in the plumbing trade
- Mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, and construction practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills with basic math abilities for measurements and calculations
- Experience in carpentry or related trades is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to read blueprints accurately
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including residential, commercial, or industrial sites
