Overview
We are Calgary-based manufacturer of innovative composite sandwich panels used in residential construction. Our products combine OSB, drywall, and plywood substrates with insulation foam to create durable, energy-efficient building materials
We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Production Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and leadership skills who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment used in composite board production.
- Support daily production activities, including foam application, press operation, trimming, and packaging.
Production Leadership
- Coordinate daily production activities during the assigned shift.
- Organize workflow and provide day-to-day direction to Production Operators.
- Support production planning to achieve daily production targets.
Equipment Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor equipment performance and identify operational issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with equipment maintenance.
- Support operation of foam injection systems and hydraulic presses.
Material Handling
- Prepare production materials.
- Receive production-related deliveries.
- Safely move raw materials and finished products using pallet jacks or forklifts (where authorized).
- Perform team lifting of materials weighing approximately 60–95 lbs.
Quality Control
- Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ensure defective products are identified and removed from production.
- Maintain product quality standards.
Reporting & Communication
- Report production, equipment, and safety issues to management.
- Complete required production reports accurately and on time.
Training & Team Support
- Assist with training and mentoring new Production Operators.
- Promote safe work practices and support a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or industrial production experience.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings.
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills (Excel and production reporting).
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday. Employees may be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts based on production requirements: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM; 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
Hours: Typically 40 hours per week, depending on production workload and operational requirements.
