We are continually growing and are looking to add a Truck Driver to our team in Bedford! We have done many premier maintenance and design-build landscape projects in NS like Argyle and Spring Garden streets, Queen’s Marque and Peggy Cove’s Viewing Deck. You have the following skills/qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Air brake endorsement considered an asset
- Experience operating 3-ton trucks, tandems and towing trailers safely
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or material hauling considered an asset
- Ability to safely load, secure, and transport materials and equipment
- Comfortable driving in urban, residential, and highway environments
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and assist crews with labour tasks as needed
- Knowledge of daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and safe driving practices
- Ability to work long hours during peak season and in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using smartphones or mobile apps for time tracking and communication
- Equipment operating experience (skid steer, mini excavator, loader, etc.) considered an asset
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Who will be on your Team? What will you do?
Day-to-day you will be hauling materials and equipment to and from job sites. Reporting to one of our senior drivers, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Safely operate company trucks and trailers to transport landscaping materials, equipment, and supplies between job sites, suppliers, and the yard
- Haul materials such as soil, mulch, gravel, stone, plants, and construction materials
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and ensure all required maintenance and safety checks are performed
- Secure loads properly and comply with all transportation and road safety regulations
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Communicate effectively with crew leaders, suppliers, and customers
- Interact with customers and the public in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional-looking vehicles and equipment
- Use company smartphone apps to track time, deliveries, inspections, and job information
- Support landscaping and construction crews with labour tasks when driving or operating duties are not required
- Assist with snow operations and winter duties as required
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Represent the company professionally while on job sites and on the road
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday-Friday

- Hourly Compensation $24-$27 per hour (experience based)
