Elite Welding Ltd. is a growing Nova Scotia welding company specializing in mobile welding, structural steel, industrial maintenance, custom fabrication, equipment repairs, and shutdown work. We provide on-site welding services to customers throughout Halifax Regional Municipality and across Nova Scotia.
We're looking for an experienced, dependable Field Welder/Fabricator who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working independently. This is a field-based position—all work is performed at customer facilities, fabrication shops, industrial plants, and construction sites.
After training, you'll be trusted to manage your own jobs, solve problems on-site, and represent Elite Welding professionally with our customers.
Elite Welding supplies the equipment you need to succeed, including a fully equipped mobile welding trailer, welding machine, tools, consumables, and required supplies.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on structural steel, repairs, and custom fabrication projects.
- Complete fitting, cutting, grinding, fabrication, and assembly work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
- Travel to customer facilities and job sites throughout HRM and surrounding areas.
- Complete assigned work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with customers and site supervisors.
- Safely operate forklifts, aerial work platforms (boom lifts and scissor lifts), and other equipment as required.
- Perform rigging and material handling duties safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional workmanship, organization, and cleanliness on every job site.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
- Proficiency in MIG welding (TIG experience is considered an asset).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong fabrication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

- WHMIS
- Fall Protection / Fall Arrest
- Confined Space Entry & Attendant
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) / Aerial Lift (Boom Lift & Scissor Lift)
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Rigging and Hoisting
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- Experience working in industrial, commercial, or construction environments
