Behaviour Therapist (ABA)Overview
Join our growing team as a Behaviour Therapist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism and other developmental needs. In this role, you will provide one-to-one ABA therapy, implement individualized treatment programs, collect progress data, and help clients build communication, social, behavioural, and daily living skills.
You will work under the supervision of a qualified clinical supervisor and collaborate with families and other professionals to support each child’s development. Paid training, ongoing supervision, and professional development opportunities are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one ABA therapy in accordance with each client’s individualized treatment plan.
- Implement skill-acquisition and behaviour-support programs developed by the clinical team.
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies and positive reinforcement to encourage meaningful progress.
- Collect and accurately record data during each therapy session.
- Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the clinical supervisor.
- Support the development of communication, social, play, emotional-regulation, and daily living skills.
- Follow approved procedures for responding safely and professionally to challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to promote consistency across settings.
- Prepare session materials and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy environment.
- Complete session notes, incident reports, and other clinical documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow all organizational policies, professional standards, and privacy requirements.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with children in a clinical, educational, childcare, or community setting is preferred.
- Education in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Autism and Behavioural Science, Early Childhood Education, Social Services, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience delivering ABA therapy or supporting children with autism or developmental needs is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow treatment protocols and accept feedback from clinical supervisors.
- Comfortable collecting data and completing clear, accurate documentation.
- Patient, reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing respectful, child-centred care.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential information.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check may be required before beginning employment.

Pay: $18.52-$33.00 per hour
